Muscle Spasm Position Release Therapy

Position Release Therapy is a gentle form of body therapy that stimulates your body to balance itself and is an important technology in our practice.
When a client reports chronic muscle spasm, the affected parts of the body are gently eased into comfortable positions, then held for a short time with subtle compression.
These compressed positions activate special feedback reflexes in the nervous system that allow the body to spontaneously release held muscle spasms and restore natural functioning.
Because release is achieved internally via the nervous system, rather than by applying outside force, pain and tension seem to melt away. And because the body produces these changes by its own natural means, rather than by externally applied “forceful correction,” it learns more quickly and easily to maintain the new stress-free pattern after the session.
Position Release Therapy is effective in relieving pain and dysfunction such as:

Position Release Therapy is effective in relieving pain and dysfunction such as:
- Back, neck, joint and leg pain
- Sports injuries
- Overuse injuries
- Carpal tunnel
- Problems associated with postural and structural imbalances
Position Release Therapy is:
- Pleasant to receive - your comfort guides the work

- Supported in comfort, whether standing, sitting or lying
- Gently moved to explore and find release positions
- Educated by the experience of how your body instinctively balances itself
- Given homework to support the return of normal function
